Twice tops Favorite Weekly Chart, IU takes second

Twice received a score of 75.1 percent, garnering a total of 226,379 votes and 2.1 percent of Bugs’ streaming numbers, to land in first place. [NHN BUGS]


Girl group Twice topped Favorite’s weekly chart for the second week of March.

Favorite is a K-pop fan poll co-developed by digital streaming service Bugs and the JoongAng Ilbo, an affiliate of the Korea JoongAng Daily.

Weekly chart rankings are calculated through a combination of fan votes and the number of streams on Bugs.

Twice received a score of 75.1 percent, garnering a total of 226,379 votes and 2.1 percent of Bugs’ streaming numbers, to land in first place.

Singer-songwriter IU followed in second, with a 13.6 percent score, accounting for 246 votes and 13.6 percent of Bugs streaming numbers. Virtual boy band Plave came third with 5.8 percent, accounting for 14,333 votes and 1.2% streaming data.

Celebratory videos of Twice and IU are being played at the Parnas Media Tower, located near COEX Mall in Gangnam District, southern Seoul from March 23 to 29.

Twice’s Chaeyoung was voted the winner of Favorite’s April birthday poll with a score of 93.7 percent, garnering a total of 45,198 votes. aespa’s Karina followed in second place with 2.8 percent, equating to 1371 votes, and Seventeen’s Mingyu landed third, with 1.5 percent and 734 votes. Twice’s Chaeyoung was voted the winner of Favorite’s April birthday poll with a score of 93.7 percent, garnering a total of 45,198 votes. aespa’s Karina followed in second place with 2.8 percent, equating to 1371 votes, and Seventeen’s Mingyu landed third, with 1.5 percent and 734 votes.

Chaeyoung’s celebratory birthday advertisement will be placed on a 9004 bus that connects Seongnam, Gyeonggi to Gangnam District, southern Seoul, from April 1 to 30.

Karina’s celebratory advertisement will be on the Parnas Tower from Saturday to May 3.
