The producers behind “Sing Again” (2020-4) and “Peak Time” (2023) are coming back with another music reality show, "Project 7", which will feature the most contestants ever for a Korean idol audition program.

Though the number of contestants weren't specified, the show guarantees that it will set the record with its number of participants.

“Project 7” will have viewers “select” the participants from the first round and “assemble and upgrade” the teams that the contestants will compete in, the show’s production company SLL said through a press release on Thursday.

“Much like how toy blocks turn out completely different depending on who and how they assemble them, the global boy group will be made by the viewers in a dynamic and original way,“ SLL said.

The show is coproduced by studio SLL and its subsidiary label Studio Slam. Studio Slam’s chief producers Yoon Hyun-jun and Ma Geon-young are also the creators behind entertainment shows “Two Yoo Project Sugar Man” (2015), “Hyori’s Homestay” (2017) and “Crime Scene Returns” (2024).

The show is set to air on JTBC in the latter half of 2024.
