EPEX’s EP “Peppermint Yum” made in collaboration with Japanese band Fantastics from Exile Tribe, topped the daily Oricon Albums Chart, according to the boy band’s agency C9 Entertainment on Thursday.

“Peppermint Yum” is a collaborative effort between EPEX, selected as ambassadors for the 2023-24 season of Japan’s professional dance league D.League, and Fantastics from Exile Tribe. The EP was released on Wednesday, with the title track first unveiled as a digital single in December last year, serving as the official theme song for D.League’s 2023-24 season.

Oricon released its daily albums popularity chart for Tuesday, which is ranked on physical album sales, on Thursday. Over 50,000 physical copies of the EP were sold in the limited presales in Japan on Tuesday, the day before its official release.

The EP features the title track “Peppermint Yum,” performed by both bands, as well as Korean and Japanese exclusive versions, along with a remix and instrumental version.

EPEX consists of members Wish, Keum, Mu, A-Min, Baekseung, Ayden, Yewang and Jeff. The band debuted in 2021 with its EP “Bipolar Pt.1: Prelude of Anxiety."

The band recently wrapped up the Japan leg of its concert tour “So We are not Anxious” in February and will hold a concert in Taiwan on March 30. The band’s first full-length album “Youth Chapter 1: Youth Days” will drop in April.
