BTS's RM set to release second solo album during military service

RM of BTS will release his second solo album, “Right Place, Wrong Person,” at 1 p.m. on May 24, while serving his military duties.

The upcoming release is RM’s second solo album in almost a year and a half since his first full-length album, “Indigo,” dropped in December 2022.

RM participated in writing the lyrics for all 11 tracks on “Right Place, Wrong Person,” the rapper’s agency BigHit Music said in a press release Friday.

The album will reflect the universally experienced sentiment of feeling like “a stranger out of place,” the label said.

RM is not the first BTS member to release and promote his music while serving in the military. Fellow bandmates V dropped his solo digital single “Fri(end)s” in April, and J-Hope released his EP “Hope on the Street Vol. 1” in tandem with a documentary series in March.

The first member to finish their military service is Jin, who is scheduled to be discharged in June this year. RM will be discharged in June 2025.
