Actors Han So-hee and Ryu Jun-yeol broke up, local news outlet Edaily reported on Saturday.

“It is true that they’ve broken up,” Ryu’s agency C-JeS Studios told Edaily on Saturday. The news of their split comes exactly two weeks since the two actors first admitted that they were in a relationship through their agencies on March 18.

People started wondering if the couple had broken up since Saturday afternoon when Han posted an iconic post-divorce paparazzi photograph of Nicole Kidman from 2001 on her blog that was inactive for almost two weeks. In the photograph, the Hollywood actor appears to bask in the joy of separation, celebrating her divorce from fellow actor Tom Cruise as she walks out from her attorney’s office.

Han posted the picture without any comments.

Since going public about their relationship, Han and Ryu made headlines as rumors circulated online that Ryu had developed a relationship with Han before he completely ended the relationship with his ex-girlfriend of seven years, Hyeri.

Hyeri, an actor and former member of K-pop girl group Girl’s Day, further fueled the rumors by posting a comment on her Instagram story with the caption "This is fun.”

Over the past two weeks, Han was busy posting and deleting remarks on her social media, attempting to explain that her relationship with Ryu was not a rebound because their first encounter was in November last year, after Ryu and Hyeri broke up.

Fans of Han and Hyeri have also been engaging in an online battle on Hyeri’s Instagram page, leaving comments after comments to defend their stars.

Ryu shot to stardom through “Reply 1988” (2015-2016) while Han played the lead role in “Nevertheless” (2021). The two actors will star together in an upcoming drama series “Delusion,” an adaptation of a webtoon of the same name.
