The first casting lineup for the upcoming second season of Netflix show “Zombieverse” was released on Thursday.

"Zombieverse" is a Netflix entertainment show where contestants have to survive by performing quests in a zombie-infected version of Seoul. The show will expand its scale by venturing outside of Seoul for the new season.

"The second season is expected to feature new and more powerful players, with addictive zombie action and even greater fun," Netflix said in a press release.

The first lineup includes comedian Cho Sae-ho, rapper Defconn, singer Taeyeon, singer and actor Yook Sung-jae, music producer Code Kunst and singer Kwon Eun-bi.

YouTuber and public relations officer of the local government of Chungju, North Chungcheong, "Chungjuman" Kim Seon-tae and former U.S. military and White House chef Andre Rush will also join the show.

The new season is expected to be more difficult than last season due to the emergence of stronger zombies, upgraded quests and a larger universe. The production team of Kakao Entertainment, which led the first season to success, will take the lead once again in creating this new season.

"As the hottest talents in show business have come together this time, the raw laughter created by the various characters going through extreme situations has become even more entertaining," the production team said.

The first season of “Zombieverse,” released last year, ranked fifth in the Netflix Global Top 10 Non-English Series category. The second season of "Zombieverse" will be released worldwide in the fourth quarter of this year on Netflix.
