Seventeen's '17 is Right Here' breaks record with 333,000 physical copies sold

Boy band Seventeen [PLEDIS ENTERTAINMENT]

Seventeen’s compilation album “17 is Right Here” has topped Japanese music industry tracker Oricon’s weekly sales chart, the boy band’s agency, Pledis Entertainment, said Tuesday.

The album sold more than 333,000 physical copies between April 29 and May 5. Seventeen is the only musical act to sell this many albums in a week, according to Oricon.

It’s also Seventeen’s 12th time topping this chart. Eight of its consecutive albums, following its ninth EP, “Attacca” (2021), have earned No. 1.

“17 is Right Here,” released on April 29, is Seventeen’s first greatest hits album. It sold more than 2 million physical copies on the day of its release, the highest for any K-pop compilation album in history. It sold 255,797 copies on April 30, topping Oricon’s daily album rankings as well.

Seventeen is set to perform in Osaka on May 18 and 19 and Kanagawa on May 25 and 26 as part of its “Follow Again” tour.
