BM of mixed-gender K-pop group KARD will release his first solo EP, “Element,” on May 7, before going on his first U.S. solo tour that will span six cities.

The rapper and songwriter’s EP comes five months after his English digital single, “Lowkey,” dropped in December last year.

BM worked as the chief producer for the upcoming EP, his agency DSP Media said in a press release Wednesday.

“'Element' stemmed from BM’s fundamental curiosity on why emotions, such as love, heartbreak and jealousy, develop from relationships between a man and a woman,” DSP Media said.

BM will kick off his U.S. solo tour, titled “After the After Party,” with a concert in Los Angeles on May 14. He will also hold performances in Dallas, Chicago, New York, Atlanta and Washington, where he will perform songs from “Element,” according to his agency.

BM debuted as a member of KARD in 2017. The group is known for its songs such as "Hola Hola" (2017), "Ring the Alarm" (2022) and "Without You." KARD’s latest music release was its sixth EP, “Icky,” in May 2023.
